PV SOLAR - DESIGNS, SUPPLIES AND INSTALLATIONS
Unstable Power or unreliable power supply can have serious effects on the operations of any business or home setup. Frequent blackouts or brownouts pose a great problem to electrical equipment sometimes leading to damage and malfunctions. It is for this reason that Suntouch Solar designs and supplies power backup systems as a solution to the above. A Power Back Up system consists of an Inverter Charger and a Battery bank. When the grid is available, power is stored in the batteries through charging by the inverter charger. When the grid goes off, the inverter charger automatically supplies the stored power in the batteries to the selected appliances connected to the power back.
SOLAR WATER HEATING
Heating water through electricity is becoming more expensive due to the ever-increasing cost of electricity. The alternative to this is installation of a solar hot water heating system. These systems use the suns thermal energy to heat water therefore capable of saving as much as 50% of the total electrical heating costs to users. Suntouch Solar designs and supplies different types of solar hot water systems ranging from simple integrated flat plate systems to more advanced automated split vacuum tube system. Access to clean water remains a huge challenge to many rural populations.
REMOTE WATER PUMPING
Access to clean water remains a huge challenge to many rural populations. Through partnerships with various government agencies and NGO’s, Suntouch Solar has designed and equipped boreholes with solar powered pump systems. These systems harvest the sun’s energy to pump water from boreholes as deep as 200 meters into large storage tanks. The systems are fully automated and required little or no maintenance during their operation. Suntouch Solar expertise has seen its ream install a number of solar pumps especially in the Kenya’s ASAL regions in towns such as Dadaab, Wajir, and Turkana to countries such as South Sudan, Burundi and Sierra Leone.
